CarSearch.ie is a free tool for comparing cars. You don't need an account, and we don't ask for your name, email or any other personal details.

Stored on your device

Your favourites, filters, column layout and cookie choice are saved in your browser's local storage. They never leave your device, and clearing your site data removes them.

Google Analytics (only if you accept)

If you click Accept on the cookie banner, we use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which features get used: which cars are opened, which filters are applied, searches typed into the search box, and clicks through to DoneDeal or Carzone. Google sets cookies (_ga, _ga_*) for up to two years to tell visits apart. IP addresses are not stored by Google Analytics 4. We don't use advertising features, and we don't sell or share this data.

Our legal basis is your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a) and the ePrivacy Regulations 2011). If you click Reject, Google Analytics is never loaded. You can change your choice at any time: cookie settings.

Cloudflare Web Analytics

The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which counts page views and measures page speed without cookies and without fingerprinting or tracking you across sites. Our basis for this is legitimate interest in keeping the site fast and working.

Links to other sites

Buttons such as DoneDeal, Carzone and View photos open those sites in a new tab. Their own privacy policies apply once you're there.

Your rights

You can ask to access or delete any data about you, or complain to the Data Protection Commission. Contact: [email protected].
